The City of Chelan has granted us the Certificate of Occupancy for Phase One of The Community Center!

This means the building has passed all inspections and allows our community partners to move into their offices and start utilizing the event space.

We’re so happy to share this milestone with you!

We’re going to use this momentum to secure fundraising for Phases Two and Three. Yes, there is more work to be done!

What’s Next?

As the first official event, the new Lake Chelan Community Center will host the registration check-in point for the Lake Chelan Wine & Jazz Festival on May 16 - 19th. We are anticipating 1,200 guests gathering around The Community Center!

As soon as funding is secured, Phase Two will begin to complete work on the gym, performing arts stage, parking lot, and landscaping.

Seven Acres Foundation is developing the design for the new aquatic center to be constructed in Phase Three.

A Message from Executive Director Maribel Cruz

The first step in a big vision and dream has come true. We are hard at work raising the $5 million required to complete Phase Two. When the gym and performing arts stage are completed, the new Lake Chelan Community Center will come to life in a way that is hard to imagine.

Picture the gym filled with basketball tournament spectators and participants, a community theater group producing a live play on the new Performing Stage, and our youth being able to use our community gym with the school facilities full.

We are truly grateful for those who believe in this community treasure and have supported us with their financial investments.

Launching this campaign just before the pandemic has definitely been challenging. However, securing the certificate of occupancy is a catalyst to building on the tremendous momentum of the project.
